Psychotherapist

I believe therapy should honor who you are rather than tell you who you should become. Together, we can create a space where you feel heard while building greater self-awareness and practical strategies that better support how you want to live and function. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, confidence and self-esteem concerns, executive functioning difficulties, interpersonal conflicts, compulsive thoughts and behaviors, and the pressures that can come with life and its transitions. You do not have to have everything figured out before beginning, and you do not have to navigate it alone.

Getting to know Parri Sehgal

I believe therapy should honor who you are rather than tell you who you should become. Together, we can create a space where you feel heard while building greater self-awareness and practical strategies that better support how you want to live and function. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, confidence and self-esteem concerns, executive functioning difficulties, interpersonal conflicts, compulsive thoughts and behaviors, and the pressures that can come with life and its transitions. You do not have to have everything figured out before beginning, and you do not have to navigate it alone.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is integrative, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy to find the right fit for you. Including, but not limited to, drawing from a Psychodynamic perspective, referring to Cognitive Behavioral methods, or exploring Exposure and Response strategies. This means our work can hold both deeper exploration and practical change, while staying grounded in compassion, collaboration, empowerment, and respect for your autonomy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My style is genuine, compassionate, collaborative, and empowering. Building a trusting relationship matters deeply to me, and I want therapy to be a space where you can show up just as you are without feeling like you need to have the right answers or present a certain version of yourself. Your pace, goals, and unique needs will help guide our sessions. I especially want our work to help you become more comfortable caring for yourself, honoring your needs, and making space for your own well-being without guilt. We may explore how past experiences, relationships, identity, values, and culture shape the way you understand yourself today, while also identifying patterns, thoughts, or behaviors that may be getting in your way. Together, we can build greater self-awareness and develop strategies that support meaningful growth in a way that still feels true to you.
