“I began to see Patty July 2022. I came to her broken, depressed, hopeless, overwhelmed with life, lost and confused. I knew immediately after the first session that I would heal and become the version of myself that I always knew I was capable of becoming. It has been 7 months of consistent counseling, and I have now learned how to set boundaries!! This is something that I’ve struggled with for 35 years and didn’t think was possible. Patty helps challenge my way of thinking. I feel so comfortable telling her anything because she doesn’t judge. She’s excellent at getting to the route of the issue. After every session with Patty, I feel like I have direction and control over my life, whereas before, I felt overwhelmed and out of control. Patty is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a heart for those desiring to live a more authentic life. Her journey from striving to please others, get noticed, and earn acceptance to becoming content with her true self fuels her passion to work with others. She earned her Master’s in Professional Counseling from Amberton University.
Patty’s 39-year marriage and 12-step recovery work have helped her heal from toxic influences in her life. She has extensive training and experience in couples counseling.
Patty is trained in Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy (DNMS), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT), all designed to help people heal from past trauma.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Patty's approach is direct, solution focused and empathetic. She feels an urgency for individuals and couples to gain relief and reach their specific goals. Her favorite clients are motivated and engaged in the collaborative therapeutic process.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
During the initial stages of therapy, the primary focus is on identifying the presenting problem and setting goals in a supportive atmosphere. Throughout therapy, ideas to maintain progress outside of therapy are recommended.

Patty is very personalbe and a great listener. Her ability to be non judgemental and truly empathetic to my issues is reasoning. Therapy, for me, requires a good guide through ones thoughts, feelings, & experiences, and helps the patient find answers and proper coping mechanisms from within Patty provides these for myself. She also has learned over time my stress trigges, and helps alleviate them by taking them out. Getting out of my head, and more into my ernotrus.

Her kindness is evident through her support and helpful processing and questioning have helped me grow exponentially. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a warm welcoming person to process past hurts, future life goals, and practical next steps.
