Hi there, I'm Patricia! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, and founder of Playfully Heal Counseling. I specialize in helping children, teens, and adults heal from trauma and difficult life experiences. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely understood and supported while we work together toward healing. My focus I work with children, teens, and adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or impacted by trauma and difficult life experiences. Together, we’ll make sense of what you’ve been through, uncover your strengths, and help you feel more connected, confident, and able to move forward in a way that feels authentic to you. My approach I offer a warm, authentic, and collaborative approach to therapy, meeting you where you are while gently helping you move toward healing. I use EMDR, play therapy, creativity, and trauma-informed care to help you understand your story, build on your strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change. My communication style I’m warm, genuine, and down-to-earth, with room for both humor and hard conversations. I’ll meet you with curiosity rather than judgment, communicate openly, and offer gentle challenges when helpful. Therapy with me is collaborative, creative, and focused on helping you feel safe enough to show up as your authentic self. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist grew from a deep curiosity about people, their stories, and the ways we heal. I was drawn to this work because I believe our hardest experiences don’t have to define us. It’s an honor to walk alongside people as they reconnect with themselves, find meaning, and create a life that feels more whole. My goals for you I believe therapy goals should be meaningful to you, not just boxes to check. Together, we’ll identify what you want to feel, understand, or change and create a flexible path toward it.
