*Note that prior to the first session taking place with the provider, LifeStance will require a credit card on file. Trish is a Licensed Professional Counselor designated in Tennessee as a Mental Health Service Provider and Approved Supervisor. Her experience in the mental health and educational fields began in 1976. She has worked in multiple settings including both short-term and residential in-patient; community mental health; therapeutic foster care; elementary, middle, and high schools; and crisis response. In addition, she volunteered in disaster mental health with the American Red Cross and was privileged to respond to such events as Tropical Storm Debbie, Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy, and both the 2010 and 2011 tornadoes in Tennessee and Alabama. Trish initially entered the mental health field as a music therapist and has had extensive training and experience in play therapy, art therapy, ABA therapy, and therapeutic massage. Her passions include helping those newly diagnosed with such “disorders” as autism spectrum, ADHD, PTSD, mood and psychotic issues, and anxiety both understand and learn to live with themselves and the world around them. One of her greatest joys is to be able to walk with those who are striving to find the answers then seek to be able to live their lives to the fullest and not need her anymore. Trish holds Bachelors of Science degrees in Music Therapy and Music Education and Master’s degrees in Special Education and Community Counseling from Tennessee Tech and the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. She lives in Chattanooga with her husband David and their three cats and one dog. She enjoys spending as much time as possible with their eight grandchildren, singing with the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera chorus, and watching her garden grow.
