Patricia Rogers, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and have been in practice for over 30 years. I am Board Certified (BCD) and have a Diploma in Clinical Social Work (DCSW). I love my work, and I love helping clients achieve their goals. I believe that therapy is a journey of self-discovery. It can be very exciting when reaching your full potential of where you want to be in your life. My approach I like to incorporate many different approaches when providing therapy. However, therapy is forever evolving depending on the client and what their needs are at the time. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is primary, along with Behavioral and Family systems. I prefer a holistic approach versus a medical approach. I also provide Christian Counseling when requested. My focus I work with individuals and couples. My practice is for adults aged 21 through the 90s. I have a lot of experience with groups if requested. As therapists, we are trained to deal with most psychological issues. However, I would say my specialties are: Depression, Anxiety, Marital, Infidelity, Grief, Incest, Aging/ Geriatric, Work Stressors, and Death and Dying Issues. My communication style I have a very open communication style and interact with my clients. I am not a therapist who just sits in silence for the duration of the session. I like to think that after sessions, you will be able to see things much clearly in your life. My personality is relaxed and intense at the same time, if that makes sense. I am on time for sessions and return phone calls. I believe that this style set is a good example. However, my expectation is that you also will be on time for our scheduled appointments. My journey to mental healthcare I wanted to understand myself better and my family dynamics. This long, bumpy journey made me realize that if I could be healed, I might be able to help others deal with their pain. On my journey through life, I came to understand that most families have some form of dysfunction.
