Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Patricia! Painful experiences can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the life you want. I specialize in helping adults heal from childhood and adult physical, sexual, and emotional trauma; military trauma; addiction and recovery; grief; anxiety; depression; and life’s “little t” traumas. If ready for change, I invite you to reach out. My focus I work with adults affected by trauma, addiction/recovery, anxiety, depression, grief, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, and attachment wounds. Together, we can uncover the roots of these struggles, build new skills for managing distress, and create lasting, meaningful change so you feel more secure, empowered, and connected to your life. My approach I believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and tailored to you. I bring warmth, compassion, honesty and practical guidance, adapting each session to your needs and goals. Using EMDR, CBT, ACT, and DBT, I help you process trauma, manage depression and anxiety, challenge painful beliefs, strengthen coping skills, and build healthier patterns. My communication style My communication style is warm, genuine, and direct. I listen without judgment, offer thoughtful feedback, ask meaningful questions, and challenge patterns that may keep you stuck. We might explore where a painful belief began or practice a coping skill together. Sessions include compassion, honesty, collaboration, and humor when it feels natural. My journey to mental healthcare I was drawn to mental healthcare by a desire to understand how people survive experiences and heal. My work in substance use treatment, residential mental health, and outpatient care shaped my compassionate, evidence-based approach. I’m inspired by the courage, resilience, and meaningful change that emerge when people feel truly seen and supported. My goals for you We will identify what you want to change and create meaningful, realistic goals.
