Getting to know Patricia V Voloschin-Weiner

I have been providing English- and Spanish-speaking families in the Chicago area with a wide range of psychological and counseling services since 1985. In our sessions, we will explore your feelings, beliefs, or behaviors that are of concern to you and/or your family and identify aspects of yourself or your life that you would like to change. Issues we can discuss include coping with life challenges, relationship issues, parenting stress, and dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, or work-related stress. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Psychology from Michigan State University, a Master of Arts in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Illinois-Chicago. I am an Illinois Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Social Worker, as well as a certified Divorce Mediator.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I view my role as that of a guide. I will help you identify your areas of strength, weakness to address your concerns. We will work together, as partners, to help you achieve your goals and find peace and happiness. You will rely on my expertise to lead you on self exploration, confronting difficult issues, and addressing challenging topics/relationships. I will rely on you on being honest, willing to look into areas of conflict, and offer me feedback about what is working , what is not, what you feel you need to address as well as areas that might be too painful or emotionally charged to discuss yet.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

She has been the best therapist I’ve had in my life. I’ve always dropped therapy off on the first or second visit, but she has been life changing. She has actually saved a persons life by being available, and saying the right things. I thank her so much for everything she’s done.
