Getting to know Paul Surace

Greetings. My name's Paul Surace, and I worked as a full-time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Kaiser Permanente's Behavioral Health program in Southern California for nearly 15 years until I retired about a year ago. Part of the reason I retired from full-time practice was to take some time off to refresh and focus more on specialty areas of therapy that I enjoy-such as work stress, anger management, and relational issues with partners and friends. I also enjoy working in areas of spirituality and developing greater self-esteem by focusing on gifts and strengths. Although I enjoy working collaboratively with my patients, I frequently provide tips and suggestions that might assist them in making different choices to achieve specific goals. I believe I have a sense of humor and a more "straight-forward" approach to helping others.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
