My practice philosophy is that we all have inherent worth and value, and possess the ability to heal. Therapy allows us to identify the negative beliefs created from traumatic experiences and transform them so that our inner and outer experiences change in the ways we desire. It all starts within. Most mental health symptoms can be traced back to trauma; it's not what's wrong with you, but what has happened to you. The effects of trauma can last for months, years, or a lifetime. When there is trauma, negative beliefs are created that inhibit our ability to function fully, affecting how we view ourselves, others, and the world we live in. We may feel that if we could just "push through" or bury our symptoms and memories, that is enough?until it isn't. Reaching out for help with life's challenges is one of the most important things one can do for long-term health and well-being. I walk with you, never judging, and always supporting you with your goals. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, which informs my compassionate and trauma-informed approach to therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In the beginning of therapy, we focus on stabilizing symptoms with self-care, coping skills, boundary setting, and psychoeducation - then, going further and healing the trauma.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
