Psychotherapist

Hi there, I'm Payge! What a remarkable thing to dedicate time to explore who you are, where you've been, and what positive changes you can make going forward in your life today. My name is Payge Casady-Christensen, and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I would be honored to support you in your journey of self-excavation. My approach I believe compassion is the key to human connection. I incorporate strength-based, trauma-informed, positive psychology to empower individuals to make positive changes in their lives. I use an eclectic approach to therapy, including CBT, parts work, EMDR, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and journaling, along with other modalities that best meet the needs of my clients. My focus I have many years of experience working with all age groups, people with disabilities, neurodivergent minds, people with autism, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those facing anxiety, depression, adjustment challenges, grief and loss, aging, dissociation, and loneliness. I highly value supporting people in understanding the barriers they face both internally and externally that keep them from moving toward the life they want to live. Together, we create a plan to slowly work toward better days. My communication style I believe in "meeting the client where they are," often incorporating my clients’ interests, hobbies, favorite stories, movies, games, books, and other personal passions to engage them in their process of self-excavation. I am fascinated by human behavior and grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow with each person I support. My journey to therapy I earned both my Master of Social Work degree and Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Utah by 2003. Afterward, my husband and I moved to California, where I worked from home as a full-time, stay-at-home parent of two children—one on the autism spectrum and one with dyslexia.
