Getting to know Payge Casady-Christensen

My name is Payge Casady-Christensen, and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I would be honored to support you in your journey of self-excavation. I earned both my Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Utah. In 2003, my husband and I moved to California, where I spent over 15 years as a full-time, stay-at-home parent of two children-one on the autism spectrum and one with dyslexia.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session, I will review some basic information about how the therapeutic process works and answer any questions you may have. Through conversation, I will begin to get to know you and your reason for seeking support at this time. From there, we schedule further sessions to create a treatment plan, therapeutic goals, and identify small manageable steps to work toward completing these goals. This is a process that takes time and collaboration between therapist and client during each session. Therapy is a journey full of adventures and challenges just like any hero’s journey in stories, myths and legends. You are the hero of your own story, let’s begin.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
