Are you struggling under the weight of shame about who you are, what you've done, or what's happened to you? Are self-protective patterns of behavior getting in the way of having the life you imagined or the relationships you want at school, home, or work? Do you feel out of control or overwhelmed by challenges in life? If any of this rings true, I may be a good fit as a therapist for you. I have over ten years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing the consequences of acute, chronic, developmental, intergenerational, and/or systemic traumas. I especially enjoy working with teenagers who may feel out of place, misunderstood, wounded, or rejected by family or society. I use grounded, somatic, developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, and nervous system-oriented techniques to help you inhabit your body and improve your relationship with yourself and others. I earned my Master's in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. I am a white, cis, queer, feminist, social justice and anti-oppression driven, fiercely compassionate, and wholehearted therapist. It is my greatest privilege and honor to walk beside you on this path as your partner and ally in recovery. I'm so glad you're here, and I'm so thrilled to meet you.
