Getting to know Perla Campos Ruiz
My name is Perla, and I have been providing therapeutic services to individuals aged 4 and older since 2017. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Pacific Oaks College. I have experience offering individual therapy to victims of crime, domestic violence, and clients with open cases through the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Additionally, I have worked in correctional healthcare and hospital settings with individuals coping with anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, and substance abuse issues.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe it is essential to create a safe space where you can share your narrative and experiences. I aim to offer a different perspective to help you identify healthy coping skills that you can apply in your daily life. My goal as a therapist is to support you in understanding how your experiences influence your feelings and the decisions you make.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Therapy can seem scary for anyone, as there is a sense of vulnerability involved. When meeting you for the first time, I will provide a safe space for you to feel comfortable to share your experience without judgment. I will actively listen to you and together build a positive therapeutic relationship, in order for you to process your experiences and together find coping skills to meet your goals and live your life in a positive healthy way.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
