Getting to know Phuong Quach

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 12 years of clinical experience. I earned my PsyD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University and hold a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University. I work from a systems lens, focusing on behaviors and patterns and using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy principles to help my clients achieve the life they want. I've worked with all age groups, spanning different areas of need: grief and loss, life transitions, pre-marital counseling, and self-improvement. However, the clients I work with most are those who feel stuck in their current situation—work, life, relationship—and are looking to (re)discover who they are and what they want or simply seeking ways to slow down to (re)charge themselves and (re)define what’s most important to them. I am currently offering individual therapy, virtually for residents of California and in person for residents in San Diego, CA. I offer 15-minute consultations free of charge to ensure we are a good fit for one another. It is important to me that you feel comfortable as you embark on this personal journey of self-discovery and change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During the first session - we will be going over an assessment of your life now, areas that you'd like to improve or are causing you mental discomfort to help determine your course of therapy. All client's care plan are different. After the first session, we'll develop specific goals you want to achieve. We'll explore your pattens of behaviors, thought processes and start to change them during sessions. At times, you will be asked to complete activities outside of session to augment the work we do together.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
