Getting to know Dr. Phyllis Ivery

Does your life feel out of control, and are you lacking the energy, motivation, or know-how to make any changes? Are you looking to live a more peaceful and fulfilling life? I’m a licensed psychologist with a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Florida, and I enjoy working with clients to help them live a life that is more peaceful and aligned with their desires. I engage in enlightening conversations that assist clients in identifying roadblocks and discovering the path to a better life. With over 15 years of experience working with a diverse array of clients of various ages, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and gender identities, I specialize in supporting those with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and LGBTQIA+ concerns. Using a combination of evidence-based therapies—primarily focused on altering maladaptive ways of thinking—and mindfulness practices, I can help you achieve balance in your life. Let’s partner together to help you live the life you deserve!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Given that the basis of any successful treatment is a good therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client, you can expect an open, empathetic and non-judgmental environment that provides a space for you to gain increased self-awareness while acquiring tools and developing skills to make healthy, positive changes in your life.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
