My approach I believe that each client is the expert of their life, and I will provide a supportive relationship to help explore and process emotions, increase self-awareness of negative or unhealthy thinking patterns, and develop effective coping skills and build strengths to his or her goals. The therapeutic relationship is the foundation of effective work together, and I work hard to create and nurture that throughout our time in sessions. My focus I have extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, individuals, couples, and families in diverse settings, including acute care hospitals, schools, private practice, and community therapy centers. My clients have experienced a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, ADHD, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, and substance abuse. I use a multi-faceted approach to therapy because each client is unique, but my focus is generally Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy modalities. My communication style In every session, clients should feel respected, heard, and validated for whatever feelings and situations they are experiencing. It is vital for the therapeutic relationship to provide a supportive environment with empathy and non-judgment.
