Reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you've spent a long time feeling misunderstood, stuck, or carrying burdens on your own. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted exactly as you are. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 11 years of experience, I work with teens, adults, couples, and neurodivergent individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism spectrum concerns, chronic illness, chronic pain, relationship challenges, perinatal experiences, family-of-origin wounds, workplace and school stress, and religious trauma. I take a warm, patient, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. I believe our struggles are shaped by far more than thoughts alone. Our brains, bodies, relationships, life experiences, and environments all play a role in how we experience the world. Together, we'll work to better understand your story, identify what's getting in the way, and help you move toward the life you want to build. As an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, I strive to create a space where you can show up authentically and feel safe exploring even the most difficult parts of your experience. As both a therapist and an artist, I value curiosity, creativity, authenticity, and the healing that can happen through meaningful connection. My own experiences with chronic illness and personal growth through therapy have given me a deep appreciation for how complex healing can be. You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Wherever you are in your journey, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often tell me they appreciate that I am warm, genuine, and easy to talk to. I strive to create an environment where you can be honest about what you're struggling with without fear of judgment. Whether you're facing anxiety, relationship challenges, neurodivergence, chronic illness, trauma, or a major life transition, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can able to be yourself. I also recognize that healing is rarely a straight line. There are often setbacks, questions, and moments of uncertainty along the way. My role is to help you navigate those moments with compassion, curiosity, and practical tools while honoring your unique experiences and strengths. Most importantly, I want our work together to feel collaborative. You are the expert on your life. I bring clinical knowledge, perspective, and support, and together we create a path forward that feels meaningful and sustainable for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first few sessions, we'll explore your concerns, your history, your strengths, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work together. From there, we will develop goals that feel meaningful to you and tailor our work to your unique needs and circumstances. Some clients come to therapy looking for practical tools and strategies, while others need space to process difficult experiences, improve relationships, better understand themselves, or heal from past wounds. Most people benefit from a combination of both insight and practical support. Throughout the process, I aim to create a balance of compassion, curiosity, and gentle challenge. Together, we'll identify patterns, build on your existing strengths, develop new coping skills, and work toward lasting changes that support your wellbeing. I view therapy as a collaborative relationship rather than a one-size-fits-all process. As your needs evolve, our work can evolve too. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, more confident in navigating life's challenges, and more empowered to create the life and relationships you want.
