Getting to know Queenesha Herbert

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (C-DBT), trained in Psychological First Aid and certified in CPR, First Aid, and AED. With over five years of experience in mental health, I am a dedicated and passionate professional specializing in working with at-risk and transitional-age youth, as well as members of the LGBTQIA community between the ages of 14 and 25. I am also open to working with children, adults, and families. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Pedology from Bowie State University and earned my Master's in Community Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. Additionally, I am a Board Approved Supervisor for the State of Maryland (coming Spring 2023).

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to mental health care is centered on the belief that "You are the expert on you." Empowering individuals with skills and resources, working collaboratively with them to develop a personalized treatment plan that they feel comfortable implementing. My goal is to help each individual explore and cultivate a life worth living.
