Getting to know Dr. Qu'Nesha Sawyer

I am a licensed clinical psychotherapist specializing in reproductive mental health and wellness. I hold a PhD in Rehabilitation Counseling and Administration and a Master's in Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling, both from East Carolina University, as well as a Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina. For over eight years, I have dedicated my clinical practice to providing culturally responsive reproductive mental health services to women of color and women from traditionally underrepresented and underserved backgrounds. Through my work, I am a strong advocate for normalizing and supporting a person's experience throughout the entire reproductive continuum.

Working with me in a therapeutic space can help you identify and address reoccurring life concerns that prevent you from thriving. I aim to support you to identifying strengths within yourself and developing self-awareness. My approach is a conversation infused with warmth, empathy, creativity and collaboration. I focus on meeting you right where you are. Your story is your truth, and I believe your truth should be witnessed.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
