Getting to know Rachel Ferriter

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been practicing in the field for 14 years in a variety of outpatient settings. Over the last 7 years, I have focused on helping adults cope with life transitions, grief and loss, depression, and anxiety, and find new meaning and purpose toward the life they want to live. I am especially passionate about supporting adults navigating transitions related to retirement, caregiver stress, loss, physical health challenges (acute and chronic), and moving.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe in individualized care, and each session is unique. I focus on helping you process and cope with the stressors and challenges that brought you to therapy, while also holding you accountable as you work toward living your personal best quality of life with meaning and purpose.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we will explore what brings you to therapy, identify the goals and desired outcomes we will work toward together, and spend time in an authentic conversation that allows me to learn more about you, your history, your strengths, challenges, and desires. We will also discuss the frequency and timing of our sessions and talk through the expectations of our therapeutic relationship so you know what to expect moving forward.
