This can have numerous benefits and can also delay the client's progress on any underlying concerns or patterns. Ideally, once a client has agreed to their treatment goals, they continue to take attainable steps towards that goal in therapy and in their daily life. When a client feels comfortable with their therapist to share their thoughts, emotions, and vulnerabilities, then deeper work can happen. I aim to be present so you feel safe and comfortable and emotionally push into your vulnerabilities more deeply and authentically. My specialty is finding new ways to develop this space with my clients. Regarding treatment techniques, my specialty is EMDR, which can reduce the distressing association that may linger with a belief, memory, or sensation. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Akron, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support clients effectively. If your starting level is deciding that you want to find help, then your first step is searching for someone who could be a good fit, and next is the bravest step of contacting someone to help. These are each unique attainable steps and I am proud of every person who tries to achieve them all. I look forward to meeting you.
