Psychotherapist
FL
I'm a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of professional experience in the field of mental health. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive counseling environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, gain insight into their behaviors, and improve skills and strategies to help overcome their individual challenges. One of the strongest predictors of success in therapy is the connection you have with your therapist. My personal life experiences, education, intuitive understanding, and compassion for others have helped many clients attain increased joy, greater insight, calm, and emotional flexibility to cope with life's stressors and challenges. My approach My practice approach is eclectic. I prefer a client-focused and solution-based approach, specific to both the individual and the issues /concerns presented. My focus My work has predominantly been with adults, 20 through 70 plus years of age. I have worked extensively and successfully with issues involving life transitions, relationships, divorce, grief, loss, as well as BiPolar /Mood disorders. My communication style My communication style is straightforward and clear. I always try to provide a safe and comfortable space for honesty and authenticity as we work together towards our mutual goal of improved mental health. My journey to mental healthcare No doubt, I was drawn to the study of psychology as a college student in an effort to learn more about my own personal challenges and life experiences. We all have a history that affects who we are and how we cope with the ups and downs of life. A lifelong pursuit of improving my personal mental and physical health has allowed me to become emotionally and spiritually better-suited to handle life's uncertainties as well as assist others in their times of need.
