Randy Baird, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I know first-hand that finding a therapist you feel comfortable with and connected to is very important, so I provide a safe and supportive environment where you can talk openly. I am a good listener and interactive in sessions, offering a collaborative, compassionate, and empathetic approach to treatment. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and have a few inspirational moments. I provide a non-judgmental space to help you move past a variety of life’s challenges, including job stress, anxiety, depression, family issues, and other concerns that might bring one to seek professional help. I have over 15 years of experience working with couples to improve communication and relationship issues, and with individuals who experience Major Depression, Anxiety, Family issues, Personality disorders, and severe mental health disabilities such as Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Schizoaffective Disorder. I believe that everybody has the capacity to change. I will help you find the courage and skills to change by listening, respecting, challenging, and offering you alternative ways of thinking and doing. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a type of therapeutic treatment that helps you understand how your thoughts and feelings influence your behavior. Through exercises in sessions, as well as “homework” outside of sessions, I will help you develop alternative coping strategies and become more aware of your thoughts so you can challenge them and learn to think differently. This will, in turn, help you feel better and improve your motivation. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Indiana University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you effectively. If you have a goal or desire to heal, please reach out. I’m looking forward to starting this growth journey with you.
