Getting to know Ravina Wadhwani
Hey there! I'm Ravina Wadhwani, licensed therapist (LPCC), survivor, and published poet. I'm a first-generation, proud South Asian woman-identifying therapist who believes therapy can be a safe space to heal from the unspeakable things that make us feel disconnected from ourselves, far from our purpose, and removed from the track we wish to be on. I hold an MEd in Mental Health Counseling from Boston University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support you effectively.
My approach
We weren't designed to heal in isolation. I offer a brave space centered on you as a whole person. I use a person-centered, compassionate approach that emphasizes your needs, goals, and what works best for you. Depending on your needs, I can incorporate psychodynamic, feminist therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and interpersonal psychotherapy. I am here, first and foremost, to work with you to find what best fits your needs together. I am professionally trained in an array of modalities and can't wait to work with you!
My focus
I work with folks of all ages, backgrounds, gender identities, sexual identities, races, and cultural backgrounds who are looking for a space to honor their voice, address their traumas, dive deep into understanding their or others' patterns, and simply feel more like themselves. I have experience working with all ages and look forward to helping you spend less time in survival mode and more time thriving sustainably. While I am open to working with anyone, I have a special passion for supporting BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized communities.
