Rebeca Aceret, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Rebeca! Hi! I'm Rebeca Aceret, a BIPOC, bilingual, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. For the past 16 years, I have focused on working with families and at-risk children. I use a client-centered approach that has allowed me to build trusting and effective relationships with my clients. Additionally, I am a trauma-informed clinician with several years of experience working in the Foster Care system. I work with children and families impacted by child abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse, immigration issues, cultural differences, depression, anxiety, and trauma. My approach I believe therapy should never be cookie-cutter. I take the time to get to know you and your specific needs. My client-centered approach aims to develop an open and safe relationship so you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. I also embrace Cognitive Behavioral ideals, believing individuals benefit from exploring their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—how we think impacts how we feel, which in turn impacts behavior. Being trauma-informed means I understand how traumatic experiences shape the way we experience the world. My focus Much of my career has centered on working with at-risk youth and their families, allowing me to address a wide range of difficult issues including childhood trauma, parenting challenges, relationship struggles, communication difficulties, depression, anxiety, and immigration trauma, in both individual and family therapy. I also hold a certification in Grief Counseling and find great fulfillment supporting those coping with grief and loss. My communication style I hope you find me to be a relatable therapist who may challenge some stereotypes about therapy. I have a warm and welcoming communication style, and my aim is for you to feel supported and heard.
