Psychotherapist
TN
I’m a warm, compassionate, and straightforward therapist who shows up with presence and honesty. My clients describe me as someone who is easy to talk to, grounded, and genuinely invested in their wellbeing. I work with adults and couples navigating life transitions, trauma, grief, stress, relationship challenges, and moments when life feels heavier than it should. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and able to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. I take a holistic, evidence-based approach that integrates CBT, mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed care, somatic awareness, and mind-body-spirit integration. I’m collaborative by nature, and I believe therapy works best when we build a relationship where you feel safe to be fully yourself. I’m LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally responsive, and attentive to the many identities and experiences that shape who you are. My style is direct but never harsh. I’ll be honest with you, offer reflections that help you see patterns more clearly, and support you in making choices that align with your values. I’m here to help you understand your story, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, intentional, and meaningful.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Your first session is a comprehensive intake where we slow down and get a full picture of what brings you in. We’ll talk through your history, current challenges, strengths, and goals. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand not just what’s happening, but how it’s impacting you emotionally, physically, and relationally. You’re welcome to share at your own pace and there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. By the end of the session, we’ll outline a tentative plan based on what you’ve shared. This isn’t a rigid roadmap; it’s a starting point. As we continue working together, we’ll refine it, adjust it, and build a clear sense of direction that feels right for you. My aim is for you to leave that first session feeling seen, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to your needs. Some sessions may focus on processing emotions or unpacking past experiences. Others may center on building skills, strengthening communication, or exploring the beliefs and patterns that shape your relationships and daily life. I draw from multiple modalities so we can work in a way that feels both effective and authentic to you. We might explore how stress shows up in your body, how old wounds influence current relationships, or how to navigate transitions with more clarity and confidence. If you’re part of a couple, we’ll work on communication, emotional connection, and understanding each other’s needs in a deeper, more compassionate way. Throughout our work, I’ll offer insight, tools, and gentle challenges when needed — always with the intention of helping you grow in a way that feels supportive and empowering. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel grounded, understood, and equipped to move forward with greater resilience and self-trust.
