Psychotherapist
TN
Something feels heavier than it should. Maybe it's a life transition you didn't expect, a relationship pattern you keep repeating, or a quiet sense that you've been carrying more than your share for a long time. I work with adults and couples navigating grief, trauma, identity transitions, stress, and the moments when life asks more of you than you feel equipped to give. My approach is warm and direct. I'll listen deeply, reflect honestly, and help you see the patterns shaping your life with more clarity and compassion. I draw on CBT, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and somatic awareness. My goal is for therapy to feel like a real relationship: grounded, genuine, and focused on what actually matters to you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Your first session is a real conversation, not a checklist. We'll slow down and get a full picture of what's bringing you in, inlcuding your history, what's feeling hardest right now, and what you want to feel different. You can share at your own pace. By the end of that first session, we'll have a starting point, not a rigid plan, but a clear enough direction that you leave feeling oriented rather than overwhelmed. I'm collaborative by nature, and everything we do will be shaped by what actually fits you. I'm LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally responsive, and attentive to the many identities and experiences that shape who you are. You don't need to have it figured out to show up. You just need to show up.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy with me is tailored and flexible. Some sessions will focus on processing emotions or working through something from the past. Others will center on building skills, strengthening communication, or untangling the beliefs that shape how you move through your relationships and daily life. I draw from multiple approaches so we're always working in a way that feels both effective and real to you. We might explore how stress shows up in your body, how old wounds show up in current relationships, or how to navigate a transition with more steadiness and self-trust. Throughout, I'll offer insight, tools, and honest reflections . I want therapy to be a place where you feel genuinely understood and equipped to move forward with more resilience and clarity.
