Getting to know Rebecca Baldwin

Counseling can be an effective way to alleviate distress, discover better ways to solve problems, learn new ways of relating to others, or change long-term behavior patterns. However, counseling may also involve the risk of remembering unpleasant events and may arouse other emotions, which can affect how you relate to others. I recognize that personal change is often a difficult process. I strive to provide a supportive, respectful, and collaborative therapeutic environment where you can fully explore your concerns, challenges, and values. The counseling relationship allows you to seek perspective through a mutual, accepting, empathetic, and authentic connection. My approach With nearly 20 years of experience in the field and a Master's in Counseling from Argosy University, my therapeutic orientation centers on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, specifically Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), which promotes emotional well-being through short-term therapy with long-term results. I also incorporate a variety of techniques, including Reality Therapy, which focuses on problem-solving, rebuilding connections, and goal-setting. Additionally, I utilize Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Expressive Arts, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MBCT). My focus I have served diverse populations and am especially passionate about working with individuals navigating emotional stress, substance abuse (alcohol and illicit substances), anger management, grief, anxiety and panic attacks, depression, and work-related stressors. My communication style My sessions may include light music, art drawing, empathetic listening, client-centered approaches, and goal setting. I am strongly committed to providing a supportive, respectful, and collaborative therapeutic environment where you can fully explore your concerns, challenges, and values.
