Psychotherapist
TX
Hello, I'm Rebecca, and it is my honor and privilege to work as a clinical therapist. My practice focuses on offering support in the areas of personal development, professional coaching, and self-advocacy. I believe in providing a safe space where you can openly share your story, explore your life, and reflect on both the positives and negatives. I like to think of my approach as 'naturally therapeutic,' as many find it supportive, helpful, and meaningful. Together, we can identify your concerns, develop goals, and implement new strategies and skills for growth. I often use Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to support these strategies. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with an MA, I specialize in areas such as anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum support, depression, developmental disabilities, family relationships, gender identity, grief/bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, multicultural/diversity issues, intimate/romantic relationships, learning disorders, and stress. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer virtual sessions. In addition to therapy, I offer professional coaching. There is often a connection between personal issues and professional development. This can be a great opportunity to look at your career goals and link them to your personal objectives, providing opportunities for positive growth in both areas. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Behavior-Based Therapy are particularly helpful tools in this process. I also work as a consultant for adults with special needs, including ADHD, learning disabilities, sensory processing disorders, and autism. While you may have developed coping skills and strategies, new skills may be needed as you navigate work, relationships, and family life. Self-advocacy is crucial for higher education and working environments.
