Welcome! I'm Rebecca Perkins, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University. I am passionate about helping others take the first steps toward making changes that empower them and foster healing in their lives. My approach It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling life and to take the first steps toward change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. My approach is client-centered, utilizing Attachment Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I strive to empower individuals to make progress toward their individualized goals. I strongly believe mental health symptoms do not define the individual and can be managed through evidence-based, strength-focused therapy modalities. Seeking therapy can feel scary, but it is a safe place to heal and grow. In our sessions together, you’ll be met with compassion, kindness, and evidence-based practices to overcome the challenges you want to change. My focus I work with individuals experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, stress, and life transitions. I help clients navigate these situations, develop new coping strategies, and empower them to gain more control over their lives. When one feels in control, they no longer feel controlled by their symptoms. My communication style My communication style is warm, genuine, interactive, calm, and friendly. I often use humor in sessions to help individuals feel comfortable. I want those who work with me to feel we can discuss anything openly and comfortably. I actively work in therapy sessions to meet your specific needs and help you arrive at insights. Together, we will implement strategies and tools you can begin using immediately. My journey to therapy I became a therapist because I enjoy working with others and supporting their growth.
