Rebecca Sanda, LCPC

Psychotherapist
MD
Hi there, I'm Rebecca! My name is Rebecca Sanda, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in Calvert County, Maryland, currently working with clients statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master’s in Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. I have experience working with children, teens, and adults who may be experiencing a wide array of challenges such as anxiety, depression, Autism, familial conflict, life adjustments, and trauma. I understand how daunting beginning therapy can be, and my goal is to provide a place of support and acceptance. My approach My approach to therapy is centered around the belief that the client knows themself best. My role is to provide the appropriate level of support and feedback as we begin navigating challenges and identifying goals. While I tailor my approach based on each client's unique needs, I often incorporate interventions from Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies, Adlerian Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I appreciate how these modalities can help create new thought patterns while also exploring how our past experiences inform our present lives. My focus I have provided therapeutic services to individuals ranging in age from 5 to 70 years old. I most frequently work with young women and girls experiencing symptoms related to anxiety, depression, stress, familial conflict, grief, Autism Spectrum Disorder, life transitions, mood disorders, and trauma. I work to help clients increase awareness of how these challenges show up throughout different areas of their lives and what we can do to address them. My communication style My communication style is calm, understanding, and accepting. It is most important to me that all of my clients feel safe and comfortable sharing anything with me. Whatever a client brings to session, they will not be met with judgment or criticism.
