GA
Hello! I’m Rebecca, and I am honored that you are considering me as your therapist. I live in North Georgia with my husband, daughter, and several pets. My approach to therapy is compassionate and client-centered, focusing on creating a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. I believe in the power of therapy to help individuals navigate life's challenges and transitions, and I am here to support you every step of the way. I hold a Master’s degree (MA) and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My professional journey has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to assist clients through various stages of life. I am particularly interested in helping those in key transition phases, such as young adulthood and entering retirement. Additionally, I have a special connection with individuals experiencing grief, facing terminal illness, involved in caregiving for family members, and coping with chronic pain, especially fibromyalgia. My specialties include adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, life transitions, PTSD (Posttraumatic Stress Disorder), LGBTQIA+ support, medical issues/physical health, trauma, and grief/bereavement. Whether you are dealing with a specific issue or looking for general support, I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs and goals. When we work together, you can expect a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where your experiences are validated and respected. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques to help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience. My goal is to empower you to make positive changes and achieve a greater sense of well-being. Outside of my professional life, I relax by enjoying many arts and crafts, reading, and spending time with my loved ones. These activities help me stay grounded and bring a sense of balance to my life, which I believe is essential for overall well-being.
