It's all about relationship - relationship with our families and friends, with our spouses, with our bodies, with food, with entertainment, with work, play, faith...even with ourselves! All the tools we need to navigate these relationships are the skills we learn in counseling: healthy communication, positive self-esteem, appropriate boundaries, learning how to handle tough situations, not allowing our emotions to control us, and so much more! What should a new client know about working with you?

I have a very eclectic style. I draw from multiple different approaches to meet you where you are and help you in whatever way you need. Expect to come into my office and sit with me and talk about whatever is concerning you. I will work with you to help you learn some new tools to deal with whatever you are here for. All you need to do is show up, be honest, and be willing to work on whatever it is you're struggling with.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Ideally, if you're able to, I like for clients to try to get the paperwork done before we meet if possible. Then we sit down together and discuss what you've reported on your paperwork. We talk about why you're here and what your goals are. This way you have a better idea of what your life will look like when you're ready to stop therapy.
