Getting to know Rene Stockton

My name is Rene Stockton (pronounced Reni). I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from Hunter College, City University of New York. I serve my community as a counselor, therapist, and change agent. Over the course of a 30-year social work practice in two great American cities, I have had the privilege to work with individuals and families primarily from underserved populations and communities. I have encountered child, adolescent, and adult challenges ranging from trauma to writer's block and wellness. I will partner with you to create the soft and more concrete changes you are looking to achieve in your life. My style is open, supportive, and person-centered. Together, we will choose the approach that best fits your situation, using a variety of theories and concepts including art, movement, and EMDR.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
