Getting to know Rheannon Chavez

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT13476) with 4 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and families. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Counseling and Social Change from San Diego State University and my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of La Verne. During graduate school, I worked for a behavioral company, gaining 3 years of experience supporting children and adolescents with developmental delays to develop social skills and manage social anxiety. I conducted social skills groups for children of all ages, providing hands-on interventions to help manage social anxiety. Most of my experience has been at DMH-contracted agencies, working with children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Additionally, I spent several years working for the Victims of Crime program, treating adults, children, and adolescents for trauma and depression.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The biggest take away that I hope for my clients is that they are able to implement positive coping skills that improve their overall quality of life. Whether it be work, school, family, romantic relationships, or personal growth; I really strive to help my clients develop skills that help them navigate life positively.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
