You already have positive skills and tools, but you may find yourself stuck and need new tools to continue your journey forward. I help you capitalize on your strengths to build new ways of thinking and decision-making and change behaviors so you can get unstuck! When we truly embrace and explore our current circumstances, we can courageously change or enhance our lives-whether in love, relationships, health, fitness, work, or money. My approach Through support, guidance, confidence building, and focusing on strengths, let's work together to find a better, more peaceful, and productive place in life. My focus Individual therapy topics include depression, anxiety, self-awareness, anger management, and stress management. Marital issues often involve communication, conflict resolution, and emotional and physical intimacy. Family topics include parent-child conflict, sibling conflict, boundary setting, and life transitions. My communication style I provide active listening, interactive feedback, and a non-judgmental environment. I offer empathy, support, open communication, and honesty. My journey to mental healthcare I began grad school in my 30s with young kids, driven by a desire to help people live their full potential and heal from trauma. I earned my Master's in Counseling Psychology from National University. Over the last decade, I have worked with all ages, gaining extensive experience with teens, young adults, and adults. Through roles in high schools, junior college, the non-profit sector, a domestic violence shelter, private practice, and as a social worker for a foster family agency, I have witnessed the struggles facing young adults today-challenges that can lead to stress, anxiety, depression, and other issues contributing to an unfulfilling life.
