Getting to know Rita Nocera
I am a board-licensed Mental Health Counselor and an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I received a Bachelor's degree in Human Development/Education from Lesley University and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College.
My experience includes advocacy work for children and families, parenting education groups, family education assemblies on substance abuse, as well as individual and group therapy in community mental health settings and private practice. I have also worked with individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders in residential/inpatient settings and partial hospitalization programs.
I have a particular interest in working with those who suffer from anxiety, depression, personality disorders, OCD, bipolar disorder, substance and behavioral addictions, parenting challenges, and those experiencing difficult life transitions.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Clients can expect to feel supported, encouraged and empowered after sessions. My goal is for clients to gain insight into themselves, their own strength, resilience and innate health.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
