“I am writing this review after only one session with Mr. Bender and let me just say I could genuinely feel his passion for helping people like myself. I suffer from anxiety and trauma and I've tried therapy before but I didn't feel quite understood. He made me feel comfortable and offered an overview of what to expect, along with several methods of what could be the best approach for my personal needs. It felt like he was catering to my individualistic needs rather than only providing space for a generic venting session. I can tell that he is there to listen, guide, and help me understand myself. I am truly looking forward to continuing our therapy sessions. ”

Rob Bender, LCSW, CADC, treats patients starting at 6 years old. He helps clients experience immediate and sustained relief, improved mood, and enhanced performance by supporting children, adolescents, and adults in identifying and building on their strengths.
Rob earned his undergraduate degree from Illinois Benedictine and a Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University. With over 20 years of experience in corporate therapy, private practice, schools, and juvenile probation, he brings a broad perspective to his work. Additionally, Rob has served as an adjunct professor for graduate and undergraduate clinical programs at Aurora University.
In therapy, Rob specializes in a strength-based, solution-focused approach. He works with individuals, families, and groups struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, and more. Rob is client-focused, supportive, and dedicated to helping people reach their goals.
