Robbin Ryan, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
Hello, I'm Robbin. I believe we each have the capacity to heal with the right tools and support. My role as a therapist is to help you mine your inner strengths and resources, as well as develop new coping skills to navigate life's challenges. I graduated from West Georgia College (now University of West Georgia) in 1983 with a Master's degree in humanistic psychology. Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. I've been a licensed professional counselor since 1990 and have had the privilege of working in this capacity for more than 23 years with the Southeast Permanente Medical Group's Department of Behavioral Health. My focus has been on helping adults experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and adjustment disorders. I specialize in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness techniques to support my clients in living fuller, healthier lives. Working with me, you can expect a compassionate and collaborative approach. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard and understood. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to identify patterns and develop strategies that promote healing and growth. I work virtually with adults, making therapy accessible and convenient for you. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, family relationships, grief, life transitions, or trauma, I am here to support you on your journey. I look forward to taking this journey with you. If you're ready to start, please reach out, and let's begin the path to healing together.
