Getting to know Robert E Anderson

While in the corporate sector for 16 years, I started my own therapy and recovery journey. With the support of people I met along the way, I returned to graduate school at James Madison University, where I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling, and began this new chapter of my life. For the past 21 years, I have worked in community-based mental health and substance abuse treatment settings. I have been a contractor for the Department of Defense, providing the same services, worked in a private group practice offering mental health and outpatient substance use assessment and treatment, and most recently, after living in Canada for over six years, I returned home to provide clinical services for an intensive outpatient treatment program. In November 2021, I entered private practice, offering behavioral health and addiction treatment services for adult individuals and couples.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
