Getting to know Robert Garza

Hello! My name is Robert Garza, LCSW, and I am bilingual. I hold a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Stanislaus. With over 18 years of experience, I have worked with clients across the lifespan, including early childhood, adolescence, children and families, adults, and end-of-life care. Throughout my career, I have aimed to learn as much as possible and make a meaningful impact by providing support, counseling, therapy, and a safe space for those in need. My professional experience spans educational, healthcare, and clinical settings. I was born in Corcoran and raised in Central California. I currently reside in Rocklin, CA, where I enjoy horseshoe pitching, long walks, the ocean, and spending time with family and friends. My areas of focus have historically included challenges in school, overcoming childhood traumas, depression, anxiety, social isolation, and family conflict-common experiences we all face as we grow and evolve into our adult selves.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I love people, learning about people, what their passions are, their pain, and their goals, and supporting the process of each teen discovering the best version of themselves! I am outgoing, easy to talk to, and passionate about helping teens find support during times they are confronted with challenges. I am here to remind you that you are human and doing the best you can. There is help if you want it, and that is what I am here for! I aim to listen, support, and give you the confidence and tools that you may feel are holding you back.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Dr. Garza created a supportive and comfortable environment from the start. He approached a difficult topic with an open mind and never made me feel judged. Every question he asked felt intentional, designed to help me reflect while making sure I felt safe and respected. It’s clear he genuinely cares about creating a space where I can be honest and grow. I’m grateful for his thoughtful, steady approach.
