“Dr. Hunt is exactly what we were looking for. He has a great sense of humor, asks good and helpful questions, and allows us space to express ourselves. His experience was evident in the first meeting -- he was already mapping out issues to follow up with in coming appointments to help us reach a resolution quickly. He was empathetic and made me feel safe.”

We are genuine, authentic therapists who recognize our own limitations but use our gifts and education to help others grow in both good times and hard times. We share a passion for relationship and connectedness and healing and reconciliation and strive to demonstrate this in our practice and daily life. Let us help you create those connections you've been longing for in life. Even the best players in sports need a coach. Even if you're not struggling, now may be the perfect time to "check in" and work on yourself or your relationship. PV Counseling is a supervised private practice. What should a new client know about working with you?

My main areas of interest and specialty are Men and Marriage. Relationships, Connection, Couples Emotional Cycle (ups and downs), Partner Betrayal/Trust, Intimacy and Sex, Trauma, Relationships and Boundaries. I received my Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary. I am board certified as a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE) Lic# 11004. I have a passion for healthy relationships and connection and helping others as they pursue the same. I have been deeply affected by great marriage counseling and men's ministries in my own life over the years and have seen personally the difference therapy and counseling can make. I grew up in Northern California in the San Francisco Bay Area (long before what it is today) and went to college at the University of California, San Diego earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Prior to becoming a therapist, I have had a 30-year long career in Information Technology where my passion has always been leading and guiding people and helping them be successful and grow (more so than the bits and bytes of making IT work). I love troubleshooting hard problems and building new solutions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I specialize in working with marriages and helping couples connect with their hearts and each other. I want to help couples reach those elusive and harder to find pockets of pain that can wreak havoc in our lives and relationships if left unaddressed.
