I'm Matt Beckham, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College, helping adults navigate life's challenges. Whether you're working through trauma, managing ADHD, or simply feeling stuck, my approach focuses on real conversations and practical solutions. I offer both in-person sessions at my Winter Park and Lake Mary offices, as well as secure virtual appointments.
My goal is to create a space where you can show up as you are, talk about what's really going on, and find your way forward. I look forward to connecting with you.

My therapy style combines clinical expertise with real-world practicality. I believe in making mental health concepts accessible while providing personalized care that honors your unique experiences and goals. Whether you're processing past experiences, developing new coping strategies, or working to change patterns that no longer serve you, we'll work together to help you find your balance and move forward with confidence.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I believe therapy works best when it's straightforward and practical. In your first session we'll dive into what's bringing you in. In a typical 50-minute session, we'll start by checking in on how you're doing and discussing any immediate concerns. We might explore recent challenges, review strategies you've been practicing, or work through specific situations that have come up since our last meeting.
For trauma work, I use EMDR therapy to help process difficult memories in a safe, structured way. For ADHD and other challenges, we'll use evidence-based approaches like CBT to develop practical strategies that fit your life. Throughout our work, I'll explain concepts clearly so you understand what's happening and why it matters.
Each session builds on our previous work while remaining flexible to address what you need most that day. You'll leave with clear takeaways and strategies to practice between sessions. As we progress, we'll regularly check in on your goals and adjust our approach to ensure you're moving forward.
