Getting to know Robinette H Dotson

Have you found yourself saying, "What is GOING ON? How did my life get to THIS? What am I supposed to do NOW? Where do I GO from here? Why does this KEEP HAPPENING TO ME?" Then you have the all-too-familiar, "Adulting SUCKS!" Well, congratulations-you are a human having a human experience. Or should I say... having human experiences (there is usually more than one at the same time). My name is Ms. Robinette. I hold a Master of Education in School Counseling from Youngstown State University and bring over two decades of combined experience in business, education, and counseling. I assist individuals and families in capitalizing on their strengths to effectively navigate life. By helping you understand key concepts and empowering YOU to choose to implement them consistently with belief, you can make progress and witness your own transformation. I do not make promises, nor do I offer guarantees. I can, however, attest that nothing will change until you first make a choice and take a step toward doing something different. Where it will lead you is a journey of discovery and development that will be both challenging and rewarding. You are the common denominator in every area of your life, and that is why the first step has to start with you. As for your second step and beyond, with your agreement, I partner with you on your journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During the first session, you can expect to receive a brief overview of myself, followed by me understanding of what brings to you therapy at this time, and the goals you have for yourself. The second session will be you and I solidifying your goals, the interventions used to help you achieve them, and also some, general "things to keep in mind." In the third session, you can congratulate yourself for reaching 50% progress because you SHOWED UP ready to do the work. From that point forward, depending upon your level of commitment, a continuation of showing up and trusting the process, transformation is possible.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
