Psychotherapist
FL
Hello! I am a queer Latina/Chicana clinical therapist, and this is my true passion! I have experience working with adults who struggle with severe mental illness, LGBTQ+ experiences, grief/loss, reproductive/fertility/miscarriage/loss/birthing trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma. I enjoy working with individuals who can be honest, forthcoming, and motivated for change and improvement. I strongly believe in providing a safe, non-judgmental space with a caring, empathetic, and supportive style to rant about things from their week or to work through their trauma… your trauma and your drama! I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of South Florida, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support my clients effectively.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe in diversity and inclusion and celebrating who you are. I am a member of the LGBTQ-munity, a daughter of immigrants from Mexico, and I understand the experience of assimilation, micro aggressions, and color/culture erasure in the United States. I also have personal experiences with fertility/reproductive issues. These aspects of my life help me to truly connect and understand my clients to be a better therapist. When I'm not providing therapy, I enjoy spending time with my husband, baby girl, and/or friends exploring Tampa and binge-watching true crime shows.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I like to meet my clients where they are and help you to figure out how to live your best life. I am not here to tell you what you're thinking/feeling as the therapist-client relationship should be a collaborative experience. My goal is to help you learn to live your most authentic life and to help you figure out what that looks like.
