Getting to know Rodney Beck

I am a professional counselor with a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Biola University, offering an unmatched commitment to my clients as they resolve their concerns and make meaningful decisions. Do you ever feel weighed down by feelings of fear and anxiety? Are you frustrated in trying to find or sustain healthy relationships despite all the time and effort you put into them? Together, we will work on strategies that allow you to address the root cause of your difficulties and build meaningful social connections. After receiving my LPC license in 1998, I worked for several years as a therapist in private practice before embarking on a twenty-year professional career as an Employee Assistance Counselor and a Human Resource Management Consultant with a large government organization. In 2019, I took early retirement so I could return to my true passion: helping individuals and couples work through life's stressors and challenges that greatly impact overall wellbeing. I focus primarily on adults, using a number of therapeutic strategies to help you not only gain insight into your issues but, more importantly, develop practical tools so you can better manage and resolve the challenges you are currently facing.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My professional approach revolves around well-established and evidence-backed methodologies aimed at achieving the utmost quality in clinical outcomes. Key modalities in my practice include the application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Central to my therapeutic philosophy is a firm belief in the inherent strengths and resilience present in every individual. Adopting a person-centered perspective, my objective is to foster a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship. I customize my interventions to align with the unique needs of each individual, creating a supportive and empathetic environment. I place a high priority on continuous learning, dedicating substantial time to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the behavioral health field. This commitment ensures my ability to consistently deliver the highest quality and cutting-edge clinical treatments to those under my care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Prioritizing your convenience, security, and comfort is at the forefront of our mission. Our commitment is to deliver a seamless, secure, and comfortable experience by conducting fully virtual sessions through a trusted, HIPAA-compliant video platform. During the intake process, we meticulously assess your individual needs, delving into the underlying causes of any challenges you may be facing. This allows us to design a personalized treatment plan crafted exclusively for you. Our range of treatment options includes individual, group, family, or couples therapy, ensuring you have the tailored support you need. Recognizing that each person's journey is unique, we are steadfast in our dedication to providing personalized care. Our goal is to assist you in achieving optimal clinical outcomes and reaching your recovery milestones with confidence.
