Hey there, I’m Roger Crowe, owner of Art of Growth Counseling Services. I am a licensed clinical social worker and licensed clinical addictions specialist–associate, with a Master’s in Social Work from East Carolina University. I support people of all ages in their desire to move forward toward growth in the wake of painful choices and experiences. I want to help you gain back control of your life so you can thrive. I believe in the concept of Post Traumatic Growth, where people experience increased personal strength, a new sense of possibilities, a new value for relationships, deepened religious or spiritual beliefs, and a greater appreciation for life in the aftermath of a traumatic event. No matter what has happened in your life, I want you to know that it is possible to heal and grow stronger than you ever thought possible. The decision to seek therapy is a powerful first step, and if you decide to take the journey with me, I am confident that I will help you create something positive from the negative and move forward into your authentic self, fully utilizing your strengths to live your life purpose.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Life is riddled with trauma big and small. A big deal to you may be small for someone else, and that is ok. I will meet you where you are, providing an environment where you will feel safe, respected, and understood. I have a creative/integrative style of therapy where I utilize a range of trauma-focused and distress-tolerance treatment approaches to meet your individual needs and discover what works best for you. I am focused on helping you achieve growth in all areas of your life. I will help you process through and overcome the negative beliefs/behaviors born from trauma by healing the wounds that have impacted your mental, behavioral, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. The Art of Growth is facing adversity, learning the lessons, and moving forward into your authentic self.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
