Getting to know Ron Marrujo
Hi there, I'm Ron!
My name is Ron Marrujo. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from the University of Nevada, Reno. I have been in private practice for over 25 years. I have a warm and eclectic approach to counseling and therapy. I have met with hundreds of individuals, couples, and families, using a variety of counseling techniques to assist my clients.
My approach
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR Therapy, IFS Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and various other resources in my private practice to support clients and their families.
My focus
I work with clients of all ages, except very young children. I treat a variety of conditions including, but not limited to, depression, PTSD, addictions, anxiety, conflict, and pre-marriage and marriage/relationship issues.
My communication style
I believe that if I have a gift, it is making people feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed. I work hard at listening to people and also provide tools, resources, and direction to help solve problems and heal emotions.
My journey to mental healthcare
I enjoy speaking with people and hoped to assist them in healing and making beneficial changes for themselves and their families. I like establishing relationships with my clients and working together toward their goals.

I ask clients what their goals are for counseling and what they would like to achieve. From there, we work cooperatively to clarify and reach those goals.
My first session with you
The first session is to get acquainted and comfortable with me and the counseling process, establish goals, and create a sense of direction—a roadmap toward achieving those goals.
