With 25 years of experience working with college students as a campus minister and counselor, I specialize in helping men of all ages find hope, healing, growth, and joy. Groups of people with whom I connect the most: College-aged students across the state Married and single men, 20-65 years old Adolescent boys, 14 and up Parents & Grandparents Medical professionals Clergy and related fields People working through questions of faith People actively seeking meaning and purpose
My 18 years as a licensed counselor overlapped with my campus experience, giving me specific insights and tools to help people work through the distractions and muck of life. Expect a comfortable office with plenty of fidgets and puzzles. We can use the church gym to shoot baskets and talk through what's on your mind.
Trusting someone else with your thoughts and experiences is a vulnerable step. I became a counselor because of excellent mentors and examples in my life. It would be a privilege to hear from you, and I'm excited to start working with you! I typically respond to messages within the same day and have weekly openings for intake appointments.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I have 2 decades of experiences listening to people seeking relief from chronic or occasional depression, anxiety, anger, grief, lack of drive/motivation, communication, and conflict resulting issues. We collaborate on a plan with specific goals for you to methodically work on, as we prepare yourself for moments of clarity that will propel you toward healing and hope.

Ron was my campus minister for my first two years at college. He was always patient, kind and understanding, even under pressure. Ron helped me learn to lead well, and helped me direct my efforts towards helping others. The environment he created at Wesley was home for me and many other students, and even now is one of the most impactful experiences I had at college.

He will accommodate to your needs including scheduling for later in the day. I would recommend to anyone who is interested or hesitant to try therapy. It will help improve your quality of life.
