Psychotherapist
CA
Hi, I'm Rosie Zachery, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with experience in long-term and brief interventions. I specialize in skill building, emotion regulation, coping with life transitions, and helping you find a life worth living. As your therapist, I aim to foster a warm, collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. My approach I provide a nurturing space, a listening ear, and a different perspective so you can tap into your inner strength and live the life you deserve. I tailor my approach to suit your needs. The therapeutic approaches I most often use are Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed, and Person-Centered Therapy. My focus While I enjoy working with all individuals, I have a special interest in adults facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, substance use, anger, and stress management. I hold a Master's degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Houston, Victoria, which allows me to support those who have come in contact with the criminal justice system. My communication style I fill sessions with compassion and authenticity and will challenge you positively. I provide unconditional positive regard, humor, warmth, respect, realness, and empathy with a strength-based approach combining insight with action. Together, we will identify and build upon your strengths; improve communication; learn new coping skills; and create lasting changes. My journey to mental healthcare Growing up, therapy wasn't something we did or talked about. We were taught seeking help was a sign of weakness. I want to help reverse that stigma and show that it's okay not to be okay. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. My goals for you I believe goal setting is an active way to take charge of your therapeutic process.
