Runa Jno-Baptiste, LCSW

Psychotherapist
GA
Hi, I am a licensed clinical social worker/LCSW. I am a native of Dominica, a small island in the Caribbean. I decided to become an LCSW to advocate for people with mental health issues. I have a diverse background with people with anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and grief. My approach The approach I use is holistic and positive to therapy, I believe in good self-care and self-esteem. I like starting with person centered approach, where the clients are in charge and comfortable with their treatment. My focus I have worked with every type of client, but I typically work with clients, who are expressing stress, anxiety, depression, bipolar, and grief. My communication style Comfortable and judgment-free environment. I want my client to feel comfortable talking with me. I will allow my client to feel safe while he or she is being vulnerable. My journey to mental healthcare I decided to become a LCSW to advocate for people with mental health. My goals for you I allow my clients to set the goals they would like to accomplish while attending therapy since it's their treatment. As a therapist, I will provide the best support, encouragement, and guidance in assisting my clients to accomplish their set goals. My first session with you At the first session, my clients can expect rapport building, where they will tell me their reason for therapy through a brief psychosocial assessment at their own comfort level, and developing their own personal goals they would like to accomplish while attending therapy.
